Things I Wish I Had Learned Before Leaving Academia – Biotech Entrepreneurship and Leadership Lectures with Anna Pryszlak
We are pleased to announce the next Biotech Entrepreneurship and Leadership Lecture. Anna Pryslak, Senoir Scientist at the EMBL-spinoff Velabs Therapeutics GmbH, will speak about Things I Wish I Had Learned Before Leaving Academia.
Anna joined Velabs Therapeutics in June 2018 where she is performing research across multiple innovation technical microfluidic platforms, designing technical approaches, solving complex problems and technical challenges with entrepreneurial spirit.
Prior to this she worked as EIPOD (EMBL interdisciplinary PostDoc) in research group Microfluidic approaches in drug discovery and personalised medicine at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) with Dr. Christoph Merten.
Velabs is a leading pioneer in microfluidics-based technologies for functional screening of antibodies. The high-throughput screening platform allows for testing millions of correctly paired fully natural IgGs from humans and mice for therapeutic effects, rather than just for binding. Rare functional hits are readily identified, which might be laborious or even impossible using other technologies. Velabs’ antibody screens can thus significantly and competitively shorten pre-clinical development.
When: Wednesday, November 28, 2018, 5:00-06:30 p.m.
Where: Marsilius Arkaden of Heidelberg University, Seminar Room 1, Im Neuenheimer Feld 130.1, Heidelberg
A registration for the lectures is not required.
